For over 30 years, Cosmo has used his extensive experience in both labour and government relations to advocate for workers’ rights as a key stakeholder in Ontario’s Labour Movement.

Cosmo was elected Business Manager of Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) Ontario Provincial District Council in 2011 – a position he held until his retirement in 2016. Prior to this Cosmo was the Director of LiUNA Canadian Tri-Fund encompassing The Labourers’ Employers Cooperation and Education Trust, the Labourers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America and the Laborers- Associated General Contractors Education and Training Fund. Cosmo has sat on the OCS Board of Directors since 2012 and is also a representative on the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.
