The OCS is fortunate to have Katherine guiding our Research mandate; a role she has been excelling at since 1999. As the Director of Research, Katherine draws on her Economics background and her years of practical experience in advancing Ontario’s unionized ICI construction sector. Katherine appreciates the variety of projects, initiatives, and people she has had the opportunity to work with and is most proud of collaborating with the Institute for Work and Health on the Union Safety Effect study, launching the Fundamentals of Construction Labour Relations Course, and developing Collective Bargaining Resources for use by our Employee and Employer Bargaining Agencies during negotiations. The collegial nature of the industry and the opportunity to brainstorm and socialize with both labour and management stakeholders is perhaps her favourite aspect of working at the OCS

In her free time, Katherine enjoys outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and their dog Daphne.
